Winners in the 2020 Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) Heat Round

Aside from the medals, five participants received the Merit Award and two Legend Award were given to participants with outstanding achievement.

 

The heat round contest was held on October 25, and the awarding was done on November 6. All gold, silver, and bronze medalists are qualified to join the TIMO 2021 FINAL ROUND to be held in Chiangmai, Thailand on April 2021.

 

All gold medalists in the final round are qualified to join the World International Mathematics Olympiad and will get free registration.

 

TIMO is a platform to stimulate and foster young people’s interest in learning Mathematics, to strengthen the ability of their creative thinking, to widen their international perspective, and to promote the development of primary and secondary education and exchange of educational cultures throughout countries/regions.

 

This year, TIMO committee members invited 14 regions/countries such as Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Ukraine, Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Taiwan, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia to participate.
